What Happy Hearts Stands For

Heart behind Happy Hearts

I was born and raised in Mumbai and hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the United States. As a trained Mental Health Specialist and Play Therapist, I have worked with over 400 children across Illinois and Massachusetts, supporting their emotional learning and child development through play-based therapy and child-centered approaches. My work is grounded in empathy, structure, and a strong belief in the importance of early emotional learning. Beyond my professional role, I am a trained Indian classical dancer, which has shaped my appreciation for creativity and self-expression—values I bring into every session with children.

Why Happy Hearts Began

What Happy Hearts Stands For

Heart behind Happy Hearts

Happy Hearts was created from a simple but powerful observation: many children experience big emotions but are not always given the language or tools to understand them. Through my work with children and families, I saw how emotional struggles often manifest as anger, withdrawal, or confusion, and how much difference a safe, supportive space can make. I wanted to build a program centered on child development where children could explore their feelings through play-based therapy, creativity, and connection, while learning emotional learning skills that help them communicate, calm themselves, and grow in confidence. Happy Hearts is rooted in the belief that when children feel emotionally understood, they are better able to thrive both at home and in the world around them.
